1. Acceptance of Agreement

By requesting or authorizing services, the Customer agrees to be legally bound by these Terms & Conditions.

2. Scope of Services

​

Vector Utility Locating provides private utility locating services including locating underground utilities and marking approximate locations using paint or flags. All markings represent approximate horizontal locations only.

3. 811 Requirement

​

This service does not replace calling 811 prior to excavation. Public utilities must be located through 811.

4. Accuracy Disclaimer

​

Utility locating is not exact. Depth and precise location are not guaranteed. Some utilities may be undetectable due to materials or installation conditions.

5. Customer Responsibilities

​

Customer must provide accurate information, maintain markings, verify locations through safe digging practices, and comply with all laws.

6. Markings Validity

​

Markings are valid for 10 calendar days. Excavation after this period without remarking is at the Customer’s sole risk.

7. Limitation of Liability

​

Maximum liability is limited to $500 or the amount paid for services, whichever is less. Company is not responsible for damages, delays, or lost profits.

8. Indemnification

​

Customer agrees to defend and hold harmless Vector Utility Locating from any claims resulting from excavation or misuse of markings.

9. Payment Terms

​

Payment is due upon completion or by weekly unless otherwise agreed.

​

10. Scheduling & Cancellation

​

24-hour notice required. Late cancellations may result in fees.

​

​

11. Right to Refuse Service

​

Company may refuse service if conditions are unsafe or prevent accurate locating.

​

​

12. Governing Law

​

This agreement is governed by the laws of Minnesota and Wisconsin. All utility markings are approximate. Hand digging is required. Markings expire after 10 days. Liability is limited.
